'Mary Poppins Returns' trailer

The first teaser for Disney’s Mary Poppins is here.

The film sees a return to the 1960's world of Mary Poppins but comes with a new twist. The story takes place in London during the middle of the Great Depression, and Michael who was all knew as a child in the original film is an adult widower. He has three children of his own and his sister Jane helps take care of them during the hard times they are experiencing.

It is then that Mary Poppins, played by Emily Blunt, comes into their lives; that’s where the adventure truly begins. The cast and characters of Mary Poppins Returns include Lamplighter Jack (Lin-Manuel Miranda); Topsy, Mary’s cousin (Meryl Streep); and Hollywood greats Angela Lansbury, as a balloon seller, and Dick van Dyke, returning as the bank chairman. It is directed by Rob Marshall.

Mary Poppins Returns will be released on Dec. 25.
