Mel and JT speak to Eddie Izzard about his incredible achievements

Eddie Izzard is a man of many talents, and Mel and JT were lucky enough to have a chat with him ahead of his three shows around New Zealand.

He has had an incredible career which includes acting, comedy, and a lot of marathons.

The incredibly talented comedian spoke about how he has transferred his comedy set between the three different languages that he speaks - French, German, and English.

He even broke into French and German during the interview, to which Mel responded in German.

As well as showing off his impressive linguistic skills, Eddie opened up about his extremely impressive long distance running record.

"So you did 43 marathons in 51 days, and then a couple of years ago you did 27 marathons in 27 days?" Mel asked.

"Yes it's true, I did them because they were there!" Eddie replied.

Eddie went on to talk about how the 27 marathons were for Nelson Mandela, and the 43 marathons were for the United Kingdom.

"They both had a political base to them," Eddie added.
