Noughties pop singer Anastacia has joined the growing list of stars using self-isolation to rewrite their hit tunes with coronavirus-inspired lyrics.
Posting to Twitter yesterday, the singer – whose iconic pop song I'm Outta Love came out in 2000 – replaced the lyrics to form an ode to those running low on supplies during self-isolation as cities worldwide head into lockdown.
The 51-year-old star renamed the throwback anthem I'm Outta Dove, clarifying before launching into song that it was not a paid advertisement for the soap brand.
The genius lyrics included: "I'm Outta Dove, I can't get clean, I'm at home in quarantine / Could be 3 days, god forbid a month / And my nose can't handle me / I'm outta Dove, can't get clean, I'm at home in quarantine / I'm outta Dove".
The song is so beautiful and touching, maybe even better than the original!
