Absolutely Fabulous stars reunite for documentary 30 years on

After 30 years the Ab Fab girls are back!

A retrospective documentary is coming to our screens later this year with returning faces of the core cast as well as other regulars and even some celebrity guest stars.

The one-off special will reunite creator Jennifer Saunders who played Eddie Monsoon, Jane Horrocks (Bubble), Joanna Lumley (Patsy Stone) and Julia Sawalha (Saffy Monsoon) for the first time in 8 years.

The 2-hour documentary will give a behind-the-scenes peek at how the iconic sitcom was made, celebrate its influence on women in comedy, and pays tribute to the late June Whitfield, who played Eddie's enduring mother.

Creator Jennifer Saunders said, "I loved making Ab Fab but I can't remember a great deal, so much of this retrospective is a revelation to me".

"Absolutely Fabulous captured the imagination of a whole generation of viewers and helped break the mould for female-led comedy TV forever" said Hanson. "Fans of the show are in for a real treat with Jennifer, Joanna, Julia and Jane reuniting for what promises to be the comedy event of the year."

Absolutely Fabulous: Inside Out is hitting screens later this year. Hopefully we will be able to stream this in New Zealand and head down memory lane with the Ab Fab girls.
