We're always looking for new ways to get rid of stains - and sometimes the ones in the kitchen are the hardest to get rid of, especially those burnt spots on your pots and pans!
Luckily for us, test kitchen manager Neel Kajale of Haven's Kitchen in NYC spoke to Insider and shared their professional tips & tricks:Â
Use a Dishwasher Tablet
Put the tablet in your pot (filled with water) and bring the water to boil, then simmer for 8-10 mins.Â
Soak Overnight
Note:This method should not be used for carbon steel or non-enameled cast iron.
Pour dish washing liquid over the burnt areas, then fill it with hot water and soak overnight. In the morning, give it a good scrub.
Boil Lemons
Cut a lemon into four wedges and put the in a pot with water. Boil for 5 mins.Â
Use White Vinegar
Pour 1 cup of white vinegar and 1-2 cups of water into the pot, then boil for 5-10 mins.
Use Baking Soda and Kosher Salt
Combine baking soda and kosher salt together and pour over the stains. Then, use a sponge to scrub at the stains and rinse using warm water.
I think we're gonna have to give these ones a go!
