Netflix has unveiled the first look at Bridgerton: Season 4, and it’s finally Benedict Bridgerton’s turn to find love!
Netflix confirmed last July that the charming, free-spirited second Bridgerton sibling—played by Luke Thompson—would take centre stage for the fourth season of the swoon-worthy series. Known for his reluctance to settle down, Benedict’s love story promises to be one of intrigue, passion, and undeniable chemistry.
The new season follows Benedict as he encounters a mysterious "Lady in Silver” at Lady Bridgerton’s grand masquerade ball. This woman, Sophie Bae—played by Yerin Ha—is a resourceful maid with a hidden past. Their love story, inspired by Cinderella, promises romance, drama, and class tensions.
"Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down − until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother's masquerade ball," reads the new season's tagline.
Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownell confirmed that Season 4 is the “most faithful” adaptation of one of Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton books thus far in the Netflix series.
She teased that specific plot points pulled from Benedict’s book, An Offer From A Gentleman, will include the fan-favourite masquerade ball (which Jess says will make up the majority of the Season 4 premiere episode), the “my cottage” moments, and the iconic lake scene.
"That’s right, the man who once mooed from the corner of the ballroom is about to be the focal point of the marriage mart as he searches for a mysterious woman called the Lady in Silver," Netflix said in its Season 4 announcement on Tudum.
Kate and Anthony and Colin and Penelope will also return for Season 4, this time as new parents with their respective babies in tow.
