Gordon Ramsay's simple sticky toffee pancakes recipe

Gordon Ramsay has said he prioritises “getting delicious good on the table quick” and has shown how he makes easy yet incredibly delicious pancakes easily and in no time at all.
The chef shared a video demonstrating how to make pancake batter as well as a sticky golden toffee sauce on his TikTok account.
Here's his recipe for pancakes plus the sticky toffee sauce!
Ingredients
- 160g plain flour
- 2TBS sugar
- 2tsp baking powder
- 1/2tsp kosher salt
- 2 eggs
- 300g buttermilk
- 60g vegetable oil
- 1tsp vanilla
For the sauce:
- 50g butter
- 50g brown sugar
- 85g golden syrup
- 120ml double cream
Method:
- Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and whisk together.
- Separate the eggs and whisk the whites until fluffy.
- In a separate bowl combine egg yolks, buttermilk, vegetable oil and vanilla and whisk together.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mix, then gently fold in the egg whites.
- Melt the butter and brown sugar together over medium heat, once bubbling stir in golden syrup and double cream.
- To cook, melt butter or oil in a clean frying pan then spoon in 1/3 cup batter. Once bubbles start forming/popping, flip the pancakes.
- Serve with walnuts, and caramelised bananas and drizzle over sticky toffee sauce.
