Seinfield's Jason Alexander belts out impressive cover of Billy Joel's 'New York State of Mind'

As New York continues to suffer from the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Jason Alexander knows what the city's needing ... and he's not gonna waste more time.
Performing from his piano at home in Los Angeles, the actor who is best known for playing George Costanza on Seinfeld has belted out Billy Joel's 1976 anthem 'New York State of Mind' in tribute to the Big Apple.
For anyone who only knows the 60-year-old in his Seinfeld role, might be surprised to know that he is also a Broadway star - even winning a Tony Award.
And it shows through when he hits those high notes.

Posting his rendition to Twitter, Jason wrote: "Was thinking about my family and friends in NY/NJ and got drawn to this song.
"I know it's still frightening but the tide is hopefully starting to turn due to all your efforts. So sending this to you with love."
Of course, his performance has since gone viral, receiving over 240,000 views.
