It's something that has never happened before on The Chase ...

For the first time in the much-loved quiz show's history, Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan managed to catch all four contestants, leaving an empty panel for the final fifteen minutes.

After the last contestant had been caught while trying to take home the medium offer of £8,000, host Bradley Walsh explained how the remaining quarter of The Chase would be filled in a rare twist.

Speaking to the camera the 61-year-old explained: "And then there were none, but they do have one more chance to take home £1,000 each when a single player takes on the Chaser once again. Who will they choose?"

After the ITV show returned from an ad break, the full team had reappeared in the studio and chose Natalie as the lone team member to face the Chaser in the rare lightning round.

With two minutes on the clock, Natalie managed to score a total of eight correct questions in the final.

Unfortunately for the team, The Vixen caught Natalie for a second time with a minute and 12 seconds to spare, blocking them from taking £1,000 each home.
