Bradley Walsh left confused after The Chase contestant hilariously rushes off set

Bradley Walsh was left utterly bewildered on a recent episode of The Chase when one contestant swiftly rushed off set leaving the host standing completely on his own.

Facing off against chaser Shaun Wallace, who is also known as the Dark Destroyer, Gaynor managed to accumulate a decent £6,000 in the cash builder round.

However, following her round against the quizmaster, the 40-year-old quickly made her way back to her seat on the contestants' panel, completely throwing off Bradley's routine.

Usually, after the round, Bradley speaks to both the contestant and the Chaser about how they’re feeling.

But in this episode, there was no small talk.

While a bewildered Bradley left the studio audience in a fit of laughter, off-camera Gaynor clearly realised her error and could be heard nervously asking the 59-year-old: "Do you want me to come back?"

As Gaynor stayed in her seat following her disappearing act, Bradley exclaimed: "That's the quickest contestant I've ever seen. Was it something I said?"

He also revealed it was the first time in 1,000 episodes he'd ever been left on his own by a contestant.
