Like sands through the hourglass, so are the last 51 years that we’ve reveled in the ever-escalating drama of NBC’s only remaining daytime soap opera, Days of Our Lives.

With a half a century under it’s belt, Days of Our Lives is one of the longest-running shows on television. To celebrate the soap's 51st anniversary, we take a look back to the show’s very first episode, that aired on November 8, 1965.
