Michael Bublé sings for gorillas who love his Christmas album at Australian zoo

During his current tour of Australia, Michael Bublé performed one very special and intimate concert to some of his biggest fans – three 200-kilogram silverback Western Lowland Gorillas.

When the 'Haven't Met You Yet' singer stopped by the Werribee Open Range Zoo in Melbourne, staff were quick to tell Bublé that keepers often play his Christmas album to Ganyeka, Yakini and Motaba - all year round.

Keeper Ben Gulli said: "When we play Michael Bublé’s CDs, the boys will instantly start pleasure grumbling and sit nice and calm and relaxed.

"Our theory is it's the beautiful low tones that he sings which kind of mimics their pleasure grumble and they've even been shown to hum little food songs when they eat, and we think he must really resonate with that sound."

Putting on the private concert, the Canadian crooner sang specially adapted versions of 'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town' and 'I'll Be Home For Christmas'.

Following the performance, which the gorillas appeared to enjoy, Bublé said: "Iwas singing to them and I had no idea what would happen, and it was amazing. The reaction was amazing."

Bublé is currently on his An Evening with Michael Bublé tour, which is his first time on the road since announcing his five-year-old son Noah had been diagnosed with cancer in 2016.
