This hilarious advert for a Y2K Survival Kit will give you major flashbacks to Y2K panic!

The year was 1999, a new millennium was upon us … and well, no one was quite sure what was going to happen …

There was one theory in particular that caused quite a stir: Y2K.

If we’re honest, no one REALLY knew what it was – but it had to do with computers going haywire and causing all kinds of chaos … so we had to get ready!

And one of the ways was with this Y2K Survival Kit shown in this '90s advert that aired 20 whole years ago - which in hindsight looks rather hilarious.

The kit included 'the sunburst' solar powered torch/radio, a VHS tape with "advice from experts" and … some soup samples sachets … For only $49.95!

Thankfully, when the world ticked over to January 1, 2000, it turned out we had absolutely nothing to worry about … phew!
