His time as President of the United States may be drawing to a close, but don't expect the Obama love to die down any time soon.
Netflix has unveiled the trailer for their new Barack Obama bio-pic, Barry. Starring Devon Terrell as the future President, the movie revolves around Obama's first year at Colombia University in 1981.
The trailer sees the young Obama deal with the issues of a young black man in the eighties while struggling to fit in due to being half white.
"You're half white... you can fit in anywhere," a friend, played by Boyhood star Ellar Coltrane, says.
"I fit in nowhere," a despondent Barack replies.
Barry also features The Witch breakout Anna-Taylor Joy as Charlotte and Ashley Judd as his mother.
It is one of two biopics about Obama set for release. Southside With You tells the story of Obama's first date with future wife and First Lady Michelle. There is no New Zealand release date for that yet.
Barry goes global on Netflix on December 16, a month before Obama leaves the White House. Gut feeling says there won't be a rush for a new Trump feature any time soon.
